Sensor-Cloud Architecture: A Taxonomy of Security Issues in Cloud-Assisted Sensor Networks

The orchestration of cloud computing with wireless sensor network (WSN), termed as sensor-cloud, has recently gained remarkable attention from both academia and industry. It enhances the processing storage capabilities resources-constrained networks in various applications such healthcare, habitat monitoring, battlefield surveillance, disaster management, etc. diverse nature limitations on networks, which can be overcome through integrating them paradigm. Sensor-cloud offers numerous benefits flexibility, scalability, collaboration, automation, virtualization enhanced capabilities. However, these suffer limited bandwidth, resource optimization, reliability, load balancing, latency, security threats. Therefore, it is essential to secure sensor-cloud architecture attacks preserve its integrity. main components attacked are: (i) nodes; (ii) communication medium; (iii) remote architecture. Although issues are extensively studied existing literature; however, a detailed analysis still required. objective this research present state-of-the-art literature context along their preventive measures. Moreover, several taxonomies sensor-cloud's architectural perspective innovative solutions also provided.
